Took advantage of a McDonald’s online survey and got a coupon for free fries/salad and medium pop with the purchase of a burger – for filling out the short questionnaire. I was at the Capitol Hill location on Hastings in Burnaby for this particular visit.
For the burger, I went with the Mighty Angus with Jalapeños even though I’d already tried it before. I also chose a Garden Salad with Balsamic Dressing instead of the fries.
With the Mighty Angus, apparently McDonald’s had re-branded the Angus lineup and included all three Angus burgers under this new name. Before, they had called it the “Angus Third Pounder” and that featured their Bacon & Cheese as well as Deluxe burgers. Now, with this Jalapeños burger introduced to their lineup, all three were being referred to as the “Mighty Angus.” (The coupon I presented, which I printed a couple of days before the visit, still referred to the Angus lineup as the since-defunct name of “Angus Third Pounder.”)
Maybe I was hungry at the time, but I enjoyed the burger during this visit. Once again, the jalapeños didn’t provide much of a kick, but the beef patty was delicious. As for the salad, it was great – but really, it’s hard for any type of food establishment to screw up a salad of course.
All in all, I liked the food – after all, I paid only C$6.50 (including taxes) for this meal because of the coupon. 🙂

What I meant is there’s no generic “like” button for each blog post. There’s an option to “Facebook like” but no simple “like” button.

I’ve added it, I checked the wrong box in my setting. *humbly apologizes* 😉
