Instead of going to the pub, we had a chicken wing party at A.L.’s. She prepared tons of these Pinty’s Pub & Grill Honey & Roasted Garlic Chicken Wings, bought at the Real Canadian Superstore for only C$11.98 per box.* (She also received 1,000 PC Points for the purchase of each box as part of the weekly flyer offers for using her PC Plus card. Since every 1,000 PC Points received would be the equivalent of C$1 that could be used for future purchases, each box of wings – about two pounds’ worth – really cost C$10.98.*)
These particular wings included two pub-style sauces: Honey & Roasted Garlic as well as Hot. Since I didn’t normally dip wings in sauces, I didn’t really need them. I still tried the sauces nonetheless; they were good.
I personally loved the wings; I thought they were fantastic. They were advertised to provide an authentic pub flavour – and I can’t say I disagree with that assessment. A.L. also thought the wings were delicious. V., meanwhile, felt they were too greasy for her liking. Both M. and A.L. agreed that they were better than the 7-Eleven wings for sure. (Well, duh.)
Other than honey & roasted garlic, the Pinty’s Wings also come in several different flavours, including Buffalo, and some include up to three sauces.
Overall, I think they are a great deal and also taste awesome. Will try them again soon at the next get-together!
*As I found out later, that was the discounted price when they were on sale. The regular price for these wings at Superstore was C$15.99 per box.
